Alex Lyon
Alex specializes in organizational communication possessing a rich background in academic achievement, research, and study. He earned his Ph.D. in communication from the internationally recognized Department of Communication at University of Colorado in Boulder. He also earned a Master's of Arts degree in communication from California State University Northridge.
Alex's original research on communication and organizational dynamics has been published in various books and scholarly journals including the prestigious international journal, Management Communication Quarterly and the widely circulated Journal of Applied Communication Research. He travels the country presenting his research findings at various conferences.
Alex has also been able to take his robust academic background and apply it in practical manner helping executives and teams from a variety of backgrounds including business, government, and non-profit organizations. Alex believes that there is a dynamic relationship between the way individuals communicate and the cultivation of specific types of corporate cultures. “When we improve our communication,” according to Alex, “we literally improve our entire organization.”
Alex currently holds an academic position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at S.U.N.Y., Brockport.
