Many of us work hard and expect our managers and the companies we work for to focus on promoting us and driving our career. The truth is nobody should be more invested in your career than yourself. Your managers and leaders are there to support you, but they can’t help someone who is unclear in their career goals.

Also, with the changes technology and global business markets have made to the workplace, the vertical career ladder is no longer the only way to expand and develop your career. There are new rules to driving your career which includes considering different roles that expand your exposure to the business. This can mean taking a role at a lower or lateral level.

This course provides an overview of the different components around growth and development and how to leverage them to support your career path. You will walk away with a drafted Individual Development Plan that will assist you in aligning your goals with that of the organization you are choosing to work in.
