Blame Frame vs. Aim Frame

THE TOOLKIT
Blame Frame vs. Aim Frame

People face problems everyday while on the job. As a result, most of our time is spent problem-solving. Over the years, we’ve observed people using two different methods to accomplish that goal. The first is BLAME FRAME mentality where you focus more on the problem and why it occurred. The second is an AIM FRAME mode which realizes that the issue has already occurred and the only controllable next step is to figure out possible solutions and action steps. When confronted with problems we recommend people use the AIM FRAME. The only difference between these two frameworks is the set of questions you answer yourself while trying to solve the problem. Take a look at these two mindsets and ask yourself which one is more production, which one is more constructive, which one does your company use most often, and which one should you use.

BLAME FRAME

What is the problem?

Who is responsible?

How do we punish them?

AIM FRAME

What happened?

What are our solutions?

What is our next step
