Question Types
Most everything we need to know about answering questions and thinking quickly we learned in school. Think back to mid-terms or final exams. What types of questions did you usually find on tests? They were:
- True or False
- Multiple Choice/Matching
- Short Answer
- Essay
In business, the same model of question answering applies. Only the names have changed. In business they’re called:
- Yes/No
- Pick One
- Fill In
- Essay and Non-questions
The challenge in business is to figure out the question that is being asked and then answer it correctly. We get into trouble when we attempt to provide an essay answer to a simple yes/no question. Click on the type of question to read more about answering it.
