Speaking Stance

Your speaking stance is very important, yet often overlooked. The best stance to take is the “HOF” (hands out front) position because it is perceived as the most comfortable and natural according to research groups. Also, this stance places your hands directly in front of your body so that you can gesture easily and naturally. Sometimes, people tend to stand in one of the other five positions below, but these body stances are not interpreted as credible or confident. Therefore, the HOF position is the best stance to communicate from during presentations, report updates, and everyday office discussions.
